Vintage: 2019
Varieties: 100% Riesling (Arroyo Seco)
Alcohol: 12.0% by vol.

Riesling is a familiar variety to us and we enjoy incorporating it into unexpected scenarios. We love the aromatics and had to create a sparkling wine that would propel those to the forefront. We imagined this wine as Riesling with a bit of an attitude and fun that would spark a certain joie de vivre. Again we dove into our Donna Summer catalog and when we heard the chorus to “Bad Girls”, it immediately reached out and grabbed us. An onomatopoeia that’s as fun to say as it is to drink.

We have been working with Riesling from Zabala Vineyard for a couple years now. Louis Zabala is a 10th generation (!) Californian farmer who grows organically in the stony, dry riverbed of Arroyo Seco in Monterey County.
